Yes — Bears Moving Co. handles long-distance and interstate moves from the Atlanta metro area to anywhere in the continental US. Interstate moves are regulated by the FMCSA (USDOT) and priced by weight and mileage rather than hourly. Most of our interstate routes are to the Southeast (Carolinas, Tennessee, Florida, Alabama), but we'll quote any destination.

Local Atlanta moves are billed hourly. Interstate moves are regulated by the FMCSA and priced on the weight of your shipment plus the mileage, with additional line items for long carries and shuttles. Intrastate Georgia moves that go beyond our normal service radius may be quoted either hourly with travel time or as a flat rate, depending on distance.
In all three cases the estimate should list the pricing basis in writing before you book.
Regional destinations in the Carolinas, Tennessee, Alabama, and north Florida are usually next-day or two-day delivery. Longer hauls to the Northeast, Midwest, or Texas typically run three to seven days, and cross-country moves can carry a delivery spread of one to two weeks depending on whether your shipment travels dedicated or consolidated.
Ask for the delivery window in writing and ask whether it is a spread or a firm date before you plan your arrival.
An interstate household-goods carrier needs active FMCSA operating authority and a USDOT number, both verifiable on the SAFER website, plus cargo and liability insurance on file. For moves that stay inside Georgia, the carrier also needs a Georgia Department of Public Safety household-goods certificate. Bears Moving Co. operates under GA HHG #9320 and USDOT #3657392, and we will send both numbers with any estimate so you can check them yourself.
No — Bears Moving Co. does not offer storage, storage-in-transit, or warehousing. If your closing date slips, rent a self-storage unit and we will load out to it and pick back up from it as regular moving jobs. Tell us the facility, unit floor, and gate hours at quote time so the schedule accounts for the stop.
