7. To Disassemble or Not? What You Need to Know
One of the most common questions we get is: "Do I need to take my bed apart?" The answer depends on the material. While solid wood furniture is often best moved whole with professional padding, "ready-to-assemble" furniture (like particle board desks or shelving) is not designed to be moved while under the stress of weight and vibration.
If left assembled, these pieces can easily "shear" at the joints during transit. Taking the time to properly disassemble these items protects the integrity of the furniture and makes the overall load more efficient.
