Floor runners go down on every traffic path before any furniture moves, door-jamb protectors on every doorway, and we use 4-wheel dollies with no-scuff casters indoors. For original heart-pine floors common in Oakhurst and MAK, we add cardboard sheets under the runners as a second layer.

Can you fit a moving truck on the narrow streets near downtown Decatur?

Accepted Answer

Yes — but we right-size the truck. For most Oakhurst, MAK, and Winnona Park bungalows we send a 20-foot truck instead of a 26-footer, and we'll often stage at the curb and shuttle if a tree canopy or driveway angle prevents direct access. Walk distance is included in the hourly rate, not surcharged.

Yes — we've moved families into and out of the Tudor and English-cottage homes along Lakeshore, Hillyer, and Berkeley regularly. The brick streets, narrow driveways, and HOA loading rules are familiar territory for our crews.
